What experiences and qualities do you think makes you the best candidate for this position?
As a small business owner for 25 years I understand fiscal responsibility and how to invest in what matters. As a physician I understand how to make data driven decisions that are also compassionate and caring. I have spent the last 12 years serving on many diverse boards in leadership roles, among those are the Grants Chair of Women's Fund, the Fiscal Sustainability Chair of Center for Interfaith Cooperation and the Governance Chair and Vice Chair at Brebeuf Jesuit. I understand how to listen and build consensus when working on complex issues.
How will you work with OneZone Chamber to ensure a thriving business community?
One zone promotes many initiatives that enhance the quality of the business that establish themselves in Carmel and Fishers. City council should try to promote these efforts whenever possible and help attract the next generation of innovative business owners, including women and minority businesses. A wide variety of small and large businesses will help keep our downtowns fun and vibrant and our tax base formidable and sustainable
