Identify your top three (3) issues that you wish to address during your tenure in office and rank them in order of priority.
1. The safety of residents. I support continued investment in our fire and police departments to ensure they are well-quipped, well-compensated and well-staffed to support Carmel residents and businesses. Additionally, investment in Carmel's streets, trails, parks and infrastructure ensure the safety of our residents as they walk and bike around the city.
2. A vibrant, walkable city center. The North Central District is the center of our city and provides the community with vibrant places for indoor and outdoor entertainment, social activities, the arts, shopping and more. I support its continued development with responsible and quality infrastructure that will be beautiful for future generations of residents and business owners. 3. Fiscal responsibility. I support responsible spending of the city's budget - with a balanced approach focused on the safety, walkability, vibrance and longevity of our city.
What do you believe is the role of the City Council in our community?
The City Council represents its residents and business owners in its decision making and leadership. Councilors should always actively seek the opinions, concerns and feedback from their constituents; and they should be visible and accessible to them in the community. The Carmel City Council serves as the stewards of the budget and ordinances of the city - ensuring residents and business owners have true advocates in their municipal government.
What experiences and qualities do you think makes you the best candidate for this position?
I have been a Carmel resident in the North Central District for 12 years and active in the community. My family built a home in this district in 2021 and we are deeply invested in its future. I am intimately familiar with each part of my district as I've walked and biked it for over a decade.
For more than two decades, I have led teams in managing budgets, teams and resources as a marketing and operations professional. I am currently a leader at a global technology company, where my teams focus on optimizing operational efficiencies of the global pre sales organization. I am an empathetic and strong leader who prioritizes open communication and accountability.
How will you work with OneZone Chamber to ensure a thriving business community?
I look forward to being a trusted partner of OneZone Chamber and the business community. I have decades of experience in the areas of marketing, operations, internal communications, change management and data analytics. I will gladly share my knowledge and experience with OneZone AND business owners.
I am particularly interested in supporting and advocating for the Supplier Diversity Program and the Women's Network. I value advocacy and diversity - and have experience in leading global employee resources groups at a global technology company.
