I stand for amenities that bring people together and give Carmel a quality of place that attracts businesses and people.
Strong leadership and expertise --- I value integrity and ethics, and I believe that information is powerful.
I will evaluate every project thoroughly from a financial and strategic perspective, and bring my 35+ years of finance expertise to the council.
What do you believe is the role of the City Council in our community?
The city council plays an important role in setting the direction for the community by leading the creation of policies for the city and making decisions on the finances, projects, and initiatives for the community. The council sets the fiscal direction and must maintain accountability back to the taxpayers. It is vital that the council listens to residents and businesses and ensures their concerns are addressed where appropriate.
What experiences and qualities do you think makes you the best candidate for this position?
I am a strong servant leader who has lived in Carmel for more than 20 years. I am uniquely qualified to serve on the Carmel City Council having spent more than 35 years in public finance and economic development advisory work at a public accounting and consulting firm. I’m an analytical and independent thinker who values making strategic decisions that serve the residents of Carmel.
How will you work with OneZone Chamber to ensure a thriving business community?
I believe that information is powerful, and will be a partner who will be available to the leadership of OneZone and the business owners who make up their membership. I intend to provide up to date information related to finances, projects, and decisions so that all businesses can be fully aware of what is happening in the city and can plan appropriately in their business activities.
